Drop your logo, download a compliant 8 × 8 cm JPEG for Indian trademark e-filing — in one click. Everything happens in your browser: your mark is never uploaded anywhere.

Output ≤ 8 × 8 cm JPEG 100% private — runs in your browser Small file for the e-filing portal
Why 8 × 8 cm? The Trade Marks Rules require every application for a device mark to carry a clear representation of the mark not exceeding 8 cm × 8 cm, and the e-filing portal accepts it as a JPEG. Attorneys and proprietors routinely lose time wrestling image editors to hit that spec — this tool does it in seconds, correctly, including the print-size information embedded inside the JPEG.

How it works

Three steps to a compliant device-mark image

Step 1

Drop your logo

Any common image format works. The tool runs entirely in your browser — the mark is never uploaded to any server, so an unfiled mark stays confidential.

Step 2

Automatic 8 × 8 cm fit

White edges are trimmed, the image is scaled to fit within 8 cm × 8 cm, transparency is flattened onto white, and the correct print density is written into the JPEG itself.

Step 3

Download and file

You get a small, portal-friendly JPEG named and ready to attach to Form TM-A. Need the filing handled? We quote fixed fees within 24 hours.

Straight answers

Trademark image requirements — common questions

The representation of the mark must not exceed 8 cm × 8 cm, and the e-filing portal takes it as a JPEG. The image should be clear and legible — a sharp mark on a clean white background. This tool produces exactly that.

No. The resizing runs entirely inside your browser using its built-in image engine. Nothing is transmitted anywhere — which matters, because publishing or sharing an unfiled mark unnecessarily is bad practice. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tool keeps working.

A JPEG stores print density (DPI) alongside its pixels. Physical size = pixels ÷ DPI. This tool sets both together — for example 944 × 944 pixels at 300 DPI = 7.99 cm — so software that reads the file sees a true ≤ 8 cm image, not just a small-looking one.

Take a clean screenshot of just the mark (or export the PDF page as PNG), then drop that image here. The white-edge trimming will crop it tight automatically. If the mark itself is low-resolution or blurry, have it redrawn before filing — a poor representation follows the registration forever.

Filing in black and white traditionally covers the mark in any colour, while filing in colour limits the claim to that colour combination. Which is right depends on your brand strategy — it's one of the questions we cover in a filing consultation.

Image ready. Now file it right.

A trademark filing is more than an upload — class selection, a clearance search and a well-drafted goods description decide whether it survives examination. Fixed-fee quote within 24 hours, filing within 48 hours of go-ahead.
