Privacy Care:
DPDP compliance that keeps working.

Compliance is not a document you file once. Products change, vendors change and users ask questions. Privacy Care gives you a named privacy contact and a team that keeps your DPDP compliance current, for a fixed monthly fee.

What is DPO as a service? An outsourced privacy function for businesses that do not need, or are not ready for, an in-house Data Protection Officer. Under the DPDP Rules every Data Fiduciary must publish the contact of a person who can answer questions about its processing of personal data (rule 9). Privacy Care provides that person and the process behind it: rights requests, grievances within 90 days, breach support and regular reviews.
What's included

Six things we handle every month

Contact

A named privacy contact

We are the published contact for privacy questions from your users, with replies drafted in your voice and logged.

Rule 9
Requests

Rights and grievances

Access, correction, erasure and nomination requests verified and answered, and grievances resolved within the 90-day limit.

Sections 11 to 14 · Rule 14
Breaches

Breach support on call

If something goes wrong, we help you assess it, notify affected users and file the detailed report with the Board within 72 hours.

Section 8(6) · Rule 7

New features and vendors

Before you launch a feature, add a vendor or enter a new market, we check the privacy impact and update notices and contracts.

Sections 5, 6 and 8
Review

Quarterly compliance review

A short review every quarter, with a compliance log your board and investors can read in five minutes.

Section 8
Training

Annual refresher

A yearly session for new joiners and anyone who handles customer data, so good habits survive team changes.

Section 8
Significant Data Fiduciaries

If the government notifies you as a Significant Data Fiduciary

Section 10 then requires a Data Protection Officer who represents you under the Act, is based in India, is an individual answerable to your board, and is the contact point for grievances. That person is normally your own appointee. Privacy Care then works alongside your DPO: running the processes, preparing the annual Data Protection Impact Assessment and audit, and advising on difficult requests.

Fees: Privacy Care starts from ₹10,000 per month. The fixed monthly fee depends on the number of products you run and the volume of user requests, and is agreed in writing before we start. It works best after the DPDP Compliance Pack; if you already have your documents in place, we begin with a short onboarding review instead.
FAQs

DPO as a service: common questions

Not usually. Under the DPDP Act only Significant Data Fiduciaries notified by the government must appoint a Data Protection Officer. Every other business must publish the business contact of a person who can answer questions about its processing of personal data.

If you are not a Significant Data Fiduciary, we can act as the published privacy contact that rule 9 requires. If you are notified as one, the Act expects an individual based in India who is answerable to your board, usually your own appointee, and we support that person.

We help you assess the breach, notify affected users without delay, give the Data Protection Board an initial intimation, and file the detailed report within 72 hours of becoming aware of it, as rule 7 requires.

Requests come to a published contact, we verify the person's identity, coordinate the answer with your team and log every step, so grievances are resolved within the 90 days the Rules allow.

Privacy Care works best once your notices, policies and contracts are in place. If you already have them, we start with a short onboarding review of your existing documents instead.
